Whether that be to see recent activity, ignition on/off status/recent trips, or even to remotely immobilise the vehicle, you can do this from anywhere in the world, provided you have an internet connection.

For stand-alone immobilisers, you can use the emergency override procedure. This procedure involves inputting a visual PIN. When your device is initially set up, it will come with a 3-digit PIN. Follow the step-by-step instructions for the emergency override to input this PIN into your immobiliser using the override button that’s mounted within the vehicle. This will manually disarm your immobiliser, and you’ll be on your way again, even if your ID tag is not present.

If you have a tracker and immobiliser system, the process is a bit easier. If you have lost your ID tag, simply open the brand app and send a disarm command to the vehicle/system. This will disarm the immobiliser, allowing you to drive away even without the ID tag. If you have no phone signal, navigate through the brand app to the emergency unlock procedure to disarm your immobiliser locally via Bluetooth. If you don’t have a phone, find someone else who does to call your security hardware brand directly. They will be able to remotely disarm your immobiliser for you.

If installation of a tracker and immobiliser isn't possible due to budget constraints, we would most likely recommend installing a standalone immobiliser instead of a tracker. We believe that preventing theft is more important than recovering a stolen vehicle, as prevention puts you in a stronger position. While fitting just an immobiliser has its downsides, we believe it is a better option than installing a tracker alone.
